(Chatsworth, CA) -- Alteran Processing Laboratories (APL), Alteran Technologies’ in-house service bureau, has been awarded a contract from Televisora Nacional, a Panamanian TV network to migrate their collection of legacy (PAL) videotapes to digital files.

“After careful consideration, we chose APL as our migration partner,” said Alejandro Arjona, VP of engineering for Televisora Nacional of Panama.  “We require a facility that can meet our challenges in converting PAL and NTSC 2”, 1”, ¾” U-Matic, Beta SP, Digibeta, DCT, and DV.  APL has the capabilities to accommodate our needs and more.” 

APL offers affordable and rapid solutions for digitizing videotape libraries on-site at its facility where tapes are inventoried using proprietary tracking software.  The service bureau incorporates new and legacy certified hardware and software along with highly trained engineers and technicians to convert tapes to any output digital file format. Content is packaged for retrieval and storage based on the customer’s specifications. 

APL can convert high definition, standard definition, analog or digital videotapes to mastering/archival formats and a wide range of industry standard codecs.
