The ViTaDi Master Control Software (MCS), a Database driven solution, provides a complete end-to-­end seamless workflow including digitization, transcoding and quality control. MCS monitors and organizes the entire digitization process. MCS controls multiple capture solutions simultaneously, organizes metadata, and allows for automated metadata creation. This allows the constant tracking on the status of the digitization process including the full web-­-based reporting of efficiency, errors and status. Finally, MCS controls the transcoding and quality control process. It manages and tracks videotape status throughout the capture process. It initially allows for the organization of videotape data during pre ingest.

The MCS software allows the importing of metadata from CSV and XML files, or users can create their own database of tape data using the VSCAN utility. MCS captures an image from the tape label and stores it in the database for matching to the appropriate final file format during post digitization. This allows the constant tracking on the status of digitization process including the full web-­- based reporting of efficiency, errors and status.

Finally, MCS controls the transcoding and quality control engines that allows for an end-to-end seamless workflow utilizing one software solution rather than multiple solutions.

The result is an extremely rapid and efficient means to capture, transcode, and deliver video in multiple video/audio file formats to media servers, digital archives and asset management systems.
